Our summer keeps rolling. We have some exciting bookings that we will be showcasing at Annex over the next two months.

This round we’re lucky to bring over a Boogie Box favourite Salah Sadeq. Salah has featured in many of our past events and we are thrilled to have him back in the booth. He’s known for his ability as a top-grade selector who pulls a myriad of influences into cohesive sets. The warm-up is left in the capable hands of Resident Cyrill Reaidy. Salah and Cyrill used to play together in the early days of Techfui in Dubai. It is a pleasure to reunite these two artists under the Boogie Box banner.

Since his last Boogie Box feature Salah has been busy. Currently based at home in Bahrain, he’s expanded his popular Radio show “The Crate” to include new hosts - recently Flaan and Spaceboi based in Saudi Arabia. Episodes are broadcast live from a variety of locations- lately from Bahrain and Tbilisi. His label, Techfui, spawned in 2014 from a successful run of parties with the same name, has continued to release records. most recently an EP from Sonnen Blumen Kern called ‘Ginko EP’, featuring a remix from Anton Kubikov. Look forward to an upcoming Techfui compilation curated in collaboration with Demi aka ASOY.

Lately Salah has been in the lab, cooking up productions with collaborative partners both near (with longtime friend Rashed Aldhaen in Bahrain) and far (with Puerto Rico’s Emiliano Martini). With more projects in the pipeline, several unreleased tracks at the ready, and no sign of Techui slowing down (either as a party or a label), expect to hear more from Salah very soon.

As a DJ he’s played alongside many of the greats including Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink, and Sven Väth, and shared his music around the globe both in festival and club circuits. Salah’s DJ sets are known for their subtlety, groove, and playfulness, turning often obscure selections into pieces of a bigger picture- one that he reveals in time.

Cyrill Reaidy has impressed since joining the Boogie Box roster, weaving subtle warm-up sets that radiate with the moody dub-techno regions of the Boogie Box label, as well venturing into the peripheries of leftfield house and techno and providing just enough groove to get people moving. He’s the perfect man for early hours and is in familiar territory playing with old friend Salah.
