BASS MAZE is a Peruvian DJ with an eclectic taste in music that spans from funk and nu soul to synth-pop and indie dance, from reggae, surf rock, and afrobeat, to krautrock, nu disco, electro swing, minimal, techno and house. He has been playing around the world for the past 15 years in some of the most prestigious clubs and lounge bars of Spain, USA, Israel, Peru, and Serbia. Among the most recognized venues where he's been a resident DJ are Barcelona's finest clubs: Sala Apolo, Razzmatazz, City Hall, Otto Zutz, Guru Lounge, Harlem Jazz Club. Also played in many of St. Louis and Chicago's hippest clubs and bars like Sol Lounge, Shiver, Mosaic, Brennan's, Atomic Cowboy, as well as famous discotheques Oman 17, in Tel Aviv, and Orient Express, in Jerusalem.

In 2014 he moved his residence to Serbia where his sensual and stylish sounds and beats garnered him recognition among the best DJs in a town considered by specialized media to offer one of the most vibrant nightlife scenes in Europe in recent years, getting to play in several venues during the week-long summertime Mikser Festival 2015 in Belgrade, as well as becoming resident DJ at some of the capital's best lounge bars and clubs on the riverside Savamala district, like Tranzit, Ben Akiba, Dvoristance, KC Grad, Radionica, Hladovina, etc.

In early 2016 he took over as Music Director and Resident DJ at BU! Trinity, the biggest and newest spot in Abu Dhabi, a sleek and stylish restaurant/lounge bar that boasts unpretentious elegance, a warm vibe and the finest dining and entertainment the capital has to offer.

During his international career, BASS MAZEhas played DJ sets alongside Jesse F. Keeler (JFK) from Canadian punk-rock band Death From Above 1979 and powerhouse duo MSTRKRFT. Also shared decks at Barcelona's KUBIK nightclub summer parties with German minimal electro and tech-house giants BOOKA SHADE and TIEFSCHWARZ, along many others. He has also performed at high-end fashion shows in Barcelona and Lima and was hired as special events DJ for luxury brand Neiman-Marcus in the USA.

BASS MAZE is the founder and producer of "The Funky Monkey" parties and "BITE ME! Sessions" parties launched in Lima, Peru in 2010 and 2012, respectively, as well as founder and producer of the "Afrodisia" parties launched in Belgrade, Serbia in 2016. He is also a host for a funk/nu soul/afrobeat online radio show at Estación La Raza in Mexico City.
