The massive complex is a premier venue in Abu Dhabi for theatre, cinema, conferences, and exhibitions.

Abu Dhabi is home to the region’s biggest auditorium, the National Theatre. Inaugurated in 1981, the National Theatre is an integrated complex for staging plays, screening movies, and hosting conferences and exhibitions. 

At the heart of the theatre is a 2,250-seat auditorium. Equipped with world-class lighting, sound and film projection facilities, the auditorium hosts plays, movies and large events.

he National Theatre also houses a lecture and conference hall that can accommodate up to 150 people, and an art gallery. The complex has two exhibition halls that display permanent collections of paintings, sculptures and other forms of art by Emirati artists.
