Rudeboy, Swedish DJ and producer showed his face the world of electronic music in late 2014.
Through the label of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike´s "Smash The House" came the hard-hitting debut single "Crash" which was premiered at Tomorrowland same year through mainstage and official aftermovie plays.
The rudely sound is best described as urban & bass, but a full experience of a Rudeboy performance at this point would suggest that anything goes. Famous for plummeting through all sorts of genres in full speed with no boundaries and a playful selection of sound, Rudeboy is on his way to make a serious mark on the electronic scene.
With the launch of his own official label "Random Preset Music" in early 2016 together with a debut remix on Ultra Records and a official podcast on the way, its safe to say that this genre blending Swede is one that needs to be watched.
Rude boy, rudeboy, rudie, rudi, and rudy are slang terms that originated in 1960s Jamaican street culture, and which are still used today. In the late 1970s, the 2 Tone ska revival in England saw the terms rude boy and rude girl, among other variations, being used to describe fans of that genre. This use of the word moved into the more contemporary Ska Punk movement as well. Now in the United Kingdom, the terms rude boy and rude girl are used in a similar way to gangsta or badman.
